Welcome to Staid! This getting started guide will walk you through the essentials of using the app, from downloading and installing it to navigating the user interface. Follow these simple steps to start simplifying, summarizing, and organizing your text with ease.

Step 1: Download and Install Staid App

Android: Launch the Google Play Store onyour device, search for "Staid," find the app, and tap"Install" to download and install it.

iOS: Open the App Store on your device,search for "Staid," locate the app, and tap "Get" followedby "Install" to download and install it.

 

Step 2: Set Up Your Staid Account

Open the Staid app and tap "Sign Up" on the welcome screen.

Provide your name, email address, and create a strong password. Tap "Create Account" to complete registration.

Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the verification link to activate your account.

 

Step 3: Log In and Customize Account Settings

Open the app and enter your email and password on the login screen. Tap "Log In" to access your Staid account.

Tap the profile icon in the top corner to manage account settings, update personal information, change your password, and tweak app preferences.

 

Step 4: Explore the App and User Interface

After logging in, the app opens with the camera ready for you to capture a picture of a textbook or a notebook. The user interface includes the following elements:

  • Top Left: Profile Icon - Access your account settings, update personal information, change your password, and tweak app preferences.
  • Top Right: Docs Icon - View and manage your previously captured documents.
  • Bottom Left: Prompt Icon - Copy and paste text directly into the provided box.
  • Bottom Right: Photo Gallery Icon - Tap to upload an image from your gallery or import a PDF file.
  • Upon capturing a picture or uploading a PDF, you will see four options:

 

  • Study Notes: Access the generated notes from the captured text.
  • Synthesis: View the summarized version of the captured text.
  • Explain Like I'm Five: See the text translated into simpler concepts.
  • Questions & Answers: Generate questions and answers based on the uploaded text.

In addition to these options, you can view the original text captured from an image or PDF. On this screen, you have the option to rename or delete the document.
